Dr. Balbir Singh is an Indian politician and eye surgeon serving as a Member of the Punjab Legislative Assembly representing the Patiala Rural Assembly constituency for the Aam Aadmi Party. He took the oath as a cabinet minister of Punjab with portfolios including Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education and Research, and Elections in January 2023. Before entering full-time politics, he worked as an eye surgeon and participated in several social movements, including the JP Movement and the 2011 Indian anti-corruption movement.
