Edith Pariona Valer

Edith Pariona Valer is a Peruvian nurse and public official currently serving as the Minister of Women and Vulnerable Populations of Peru, a position she assumed on March 17, 2026. She holds a degree in Nursing from the National University of Cajamarca and a master's degree in Health Services Management from the Señor de Sipán University. Prior to her ministerial appointment, she served as the executive director of Infosalud and the General Directorate of Telesalud, Reference and Urgencies at the Ministry of Health, where she focused on improving healthcare access for vulnerable communities through telemedicine initiatives.
