Efkan Ala is a Turkish politician who currently serves as a member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. A career civil servant, he previously held significant executive roles, including serving as the Minister of the Interior from 2013 to 2016. Earlier in his career, he served as the Governor of Batman and Diyarbakır provinces, as well as Undersecretary to the Prime Minister. He holds a degree in political science from Istanbul University and has been a prominent figure within the Justice and Development Party (AKP).
