Engin Altay

Engin Altay is a Turkish politician who has served as a Member of the Grand National Assembly for the electoral district of Sinop since 2002. Born in 1963, he began his career as a teacher and briefly served as the deputy mayor of Erfelek before entering national politics. A prominent figure within the Republican People's Party (CHP), he has held significant leadership roles, including serving as a parliamentary group leader. Throughout his tenure, Altay has been active in various parliamentary committees, including those focused on human rights and education, and has been a vocal critic of the government regarding corruption allegations.
