Erastus Uutoni is a Namibian politician representing the SWAPO party who has served extensively in the cabinet and parliament of Namibia. Born in Omatando in 1961, he went into exile during the independence struggle and served as a commander in the People's Liberation Army of Namibia, as well as a photojournalist. Following Namibia's independence, he pursued higher education in political science, office management, marketing, and police science, and later served as mayor of Ongwediva before entering national politics and holding multiple ministerial portfolios.
