大森江里子

Eriko Omori is a Japanese politician and tax accountant currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives. Born in Sagamihara, Kanagawa Prefecture, she graduated from Soka University and worked as a tax accountant specializing in support for small and medium-sized enterprises. First elected in 2024, she is affiliated with the Komeito party and has been active in the Centrist Reform Alliance. In her parliamentary work, she has advocated for support for business caregivers and has publicly championed the introduction of a selective separate surname system for married couples, arguing that the current legal requirement to change surnames infringes upon individual rights and the freedom of marriage.
