Ernst Gödl is an Austrian politician and member of the National Council. Born in 1971 in Graz, he began his political career as the youngest mayor in Austria at the time when he was elected in Zwaring-Pöls in 1995. He served in the Federal Council from 2014 to 2017 and has been a member of the National Council since 2017. In May 2026, he was appointed as the parliamentary group leader of the Austrian People's Party. His political focus includes environmental protection, consumer rights, and regional development.
