Farah Maalim Mohamed is a Kenyan politician and advocate of the High Court of Kenya who currently serves as the Member of Parliament for Dadaab Constituency. A veteran figure in Kenyan politics, he previously represented Lagdera Constituency and served as the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly from 2008 to 2013. Educated at the University of Nairobi and the Kenya School of Law, Maalim has held various leadership roles, including deputy party leader of the Wiper Democratic Movement. In recent years, he has become a polarizing figure due to his vocal support for the administration of President William Ruto and his controversial public remarks regarding youth-led protests, which have led to significant public backlash and his expulsion from his former party.
