Florence Lassarade

Florence Lassarade is a French politician and pediatrician who has served as a Senator for the Gironde department since 2017. Before entering national politics, she practiced medicine in Langon for over three decades and served as a municipal official in Saint-Macaire. A member of The Republicans, she has held leadership roles within the party at the departmental level and served as a co-rapporteur for the Parliamentary Office for the Evaluation of Scientific and Technological Choices. Her legislative work has focused on social affairs, including the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games legislation, and she has been a vocal advocate for the preservation of medical conscience clauses in the context of constitutional reforms regarding abortion access.
