Frances Black is an Irish singer and politician serving as a Member of Seanad Éireann for the Industrial and Commercial Panel since 2016. Before entering politics, she achieved prominence as a traditional and contemporary Irish music singer, starting with her family band The Black Family and later embarking on a successful solo career. A qualified addiction counsellor and founder of the Rise Foundation, she is a vocal advocate for Irish reunification, Palestinian rights, and progressive social legislation in Ireland.
