Francesco Cannizzaro

Francesco Cannizzaro is an Italian politician who currently serves as the Mayor of Reggio Calabria, having been elected in May 2026. Prior to his mayoral tenure, he served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies starting in 2018, where he held leadership roles within the Forza Italia parliamentary group. Throughout his career, he has been active in regional politics in Calabria, including service in the regional council and as a local coordinator for his party. He holds a degree in Social Service Sciences from the University for Foreigners Dante Alighieri of Reggio Calabria.
