Frank Klingebiel is a German politician who has served as the Mayor (Oberbürgermeister) of the city of Salzgitter since 2006. A member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), he previously held various administrative roles within the Lower Saxony state government, including positions in the Ministry of Economics and the Ministry of the Interior. Known as the longest-serving mayor in Lower Saxony, he has been re-elected multiple times, most recently in 2021. Beyond his political duties, he has served on the supervisory board of the Norddeutsche Landesbank and as president of the Lower Saxony Association of Towns and Municipalities.
