Kang-il Lee is a South Korean politician currently serving as a member of the 22nd National Assembly, representing the Sangdang-gu constituency in Cheongju. Born in Jincheon, he began his political career as a staff member for lawmaker Kim Young-chun in the 1990s and served as a member of the Seoul Metropolitan Council from 2002 to 2006. Throughout his career, he has been involved in various social movements, including the establishment of the Happy Family Foundation and leadership roles in social enterprises. After participating in presidential campaign support roles for the Democratic Party, he was elected to the National Assembly in 2024, where he has served on the National Policy Committee and the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts.
