A lifelong resident of Toowoomba, he previously served as a councillor from 2012 and as Deputy Mayor from 2020. Before entering politics, he was a fifth-generation business owner in the printing and graphic arts industry. As mayor, he focuses on regional economic development, infrastructure improvements, and enhancing the global standing of the Toowoomba community.
