Gerd Härtig

Gerd Härtig is a German politician serving as the Lord Mayor of Limbach-Oberfrohna in Saxony since April 2022. A qualified electrical engineer by profession, he previously worked in sales before entering local politics. Härtig served as a member of the Limbach-Oberfrohna city council starting in 2014 and held the position of parliamentary group leader from 2015. He was elected as mayor in February 2022 with 71.3% of the vote, following the vacancy created by the death of his predecessor, Jesko Vogel.
