Gill Furniss

Gill Furniss is a British Labour Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Sheffield Brightside and Hillsborough since 2016. Before entering national politics, she was a long-serving member of the Sheffield City Council from 1999 to 2016. Throughout her parliamentary career, she has held several frontbench roles, including Shadow Minister for Steel, Postal Affairs and Consumer Protection, Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities, and Shadow Minister for Pensions. Her policy focus has spanned transport decarbonization, consumer protection, and social security reform.
