Héctor Baldassi is an Argentine politician and former professional football referee. Born on January 5, 1966, he achieved international renown as a referee, officiating in major tournaments such as the 2008 Olympic Games and the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Transitioning to politics, he was elected to the Argentine Chamber of Deputies in 2013 representing Córdoba for the Republican Proposal (PRO) party, and was subsequently re-elected in 2017.
