Habib Abid

Habib Abid is a Tunisian politician and environmental expert who has served as the Minister of the Environment since August 25, 2024. An engineer specializing in water and forests with a doctorate in environmental studies, he previously held the position of Director General of Forests at the Ministry of Agriculture starting in 2016. In 2017, he joined the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations as an international expert on environmental issues and climate change. He is married and a father of two children.
