Hafiz Uddin Ahmad

Hafiz Uddin Ahmad is a Bangladeshi politician, retired military officer, and decorated veteran of the Bangladesh Liberation War who serves as the acting president of Bangladesh and Speaker of Parliament. A senior member of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party, he previously represented the Bhola-3 constituency as a Member of Parliament for multiple terms and held several cabinet portfolios, including Minister of Water Resources and Minister of Commerce. Prior to his political career, he was a prominent national athlete and footballer who represented the Pakistan national team and played for Mohammedan SC.
