濱口誠

Makoto Hamaguchi is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Councillors, representing the Democratic Party for the People. Born in Matsusaka, Mie Prefecture, he graduated from the University of Tsukuba before beginning his career at Toyota Motor Corporation. He later became a dedicated official for the All Toyota Workers' Union. First elected to the House of Councillors in 2016, he has focused on industrial policy and labor issues. Hamaguchi currently serves as the party's Policy Research Council Chairman and holds the position of Chairman of the Committee on Economy and Industry in the House of Councillors. His political platform includes support for defense capability enhancement, selective separate surnames for married couples, and the promotion of a society free from secondhand smoke.
