Hangchuon Naron

Hangchuon Naron is a Cambodian academic, economist, and politician serving as the Minister of Education, Youth and Sport since 2013 and holding the position of Deputy Prime Minister. A member of the Cambodian People's Party, he previously served as Secretary of State of Economy and Finance from 2004 to 2013 and became a member of the National Assembly for the Kampong Cham constituency in 2018. Since taking office, he has implemented major educational reforms in Cambodia, notably including strict anti-cheating measures in national exams.
