Harry Leunessen

Harry Leunessen is a Dutch politician and jurist currently serving as the Mayor of Vaals, a position he has held since February 2020. Before his appointment as mayor, he had a long career in local government, serving as a municipal councilor, faction leader, and alderman for the municipality of Landgraaf. Educated in law at Maastricht University, Leunessen previously worked as a legal policy officer and manager of public affairs for various municipalities, including Heerlen and Voerendaal. He is a member of the Labour Party (PvdA).
