Helmut Fiedler

Helmut Fiedler is an Austrian politician and military officer currently serving as a member of the Landtag of Lower Austria since July 2025. A member of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ), he also serves as the party's state manager for Lower Austria. Before his full-time political career, Fiedler had a distinguished military background, serving in the Gardebataillon and the Jagdkommando, with international deployments in Afghanistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Syria, and Kosovo. He holds a PhD in Interdisciplinary Legal Studies from the University of Vienna and has authored publications on military assistance and training.
