Herwig Mahr

Herwig Mahr is an Austrian politician and self-employed technician who has served as a member of the Landtag of Upper Austria since 2009. A long-standing member of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ), he previously held local government positions in Traun, including serving as deputy mayor from 1991 to 2003. Between 2015 and 2025, he served as the chairman of the FPÖ parliamentary group in the Upper Austrian Landtag. Beyond his political career, he has been active in the private sector and holds a supervisory board position at the Oberösterreichische Versicherung.
