Hilmy Muhammad is an Indonesian politician and Islamic scholar serving as a member of the Regional Representative Council of Indonesia (DPD RI) representing the Special Region of Yogyakarta for the 2019–2024 and 2024–2029 terms. Born in Yogyakarta and deeply rooted in a traditional pesantren background, he is actively involved in teaching at the Krapyak Islamic Boarding School and holds leadership roles within Nahdlatul Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI). He earned his doctoral degree from the National University of Malaysia, following studies in Khartoum and at IAIN Sunan Kalijaga.
