平林晃

Akira Hirabayashi is a Japanese politician and information engineer currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives. Before entering politics, he had a distinguished academic career, holding positions such as associate professor at Yamaguchi University and professor at Ritsumeikan University, where he specialized in signal processing. He earned his doctorate in engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology. Since his first election to the Diet in 2021, he has focused on policy areas including digital technology-based COVID-19 countermeasures and disaster prevention. He is currently serving his third term in office.
