A veterinarian by training, he previously served as the chairman of the Parisada Hindu Dharma Indonesia (PHDI) for Central Lampung Regency in 2019. Throughout his career, he has been a vocal advocate for educational reform, specifically highlighting the scarcity of Hindu religious textbooks in schools. He is a member of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP).
