Ināra Mūrniece

Ināra Mūrniece is a Latvian politician and journalist currently serving as a member of the Saeima, where she chairs the Foreign Affairs Committee. A prominent figure in the National Alliance, she previously served as the Speaker of the Saeima from 2014 to 2022 and as the Minister of Defence of Latvia from 2022 to 2023. Before entering politics, she worked as a journalist for the newspaper Latvijas Avīze. Mūrniece has been a consistent presence in Latvian parliamentary life since her first election in 2011.
