Ināra Mūrniece

Ināra Mūrniece is a Latvian politician and journalist serving as a member of the Saeima representing the National Alliance party. A graduate of the School of Economics and Culture and the University of Latvia, she previously worked as a journalist for the newspaper Latvijas Avīze before entering national politics. Over her parliamentary career, she has held prominent leadership positions including Speaker of the Saeima from 2014 to 2022, Minister of Defence of Latvia, and chair of the Saeima Foreign Affairs Committee.
