Ipumbu Shiimi
Profile
Iipumbu Shiimi is a Namibian economist and politician who served as the Minister of Finance from 2020 to 2025. Prior to his cabinet appointment, he had a distinguished career in central banking, serving as the Governor of the Bank of Namibia from 2010 to 2020. He also held various leadership and research positions within the central bank and economic policy research units. He holds advanced degrees in economics and finance from institutions including the University of London and the University of the Western Cape.
