Irena Hrstić

Irena Hrstić is a Croatian politician and physician who has served as the Minister of Health of Croatia since December 2024. A graduate of the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb, she specialized in internal medicine and gastroenterology, becoming the youngest gastroenterologist in Croatia at the age of 33. Before her ministerial appointment, she held a management role at Pula Hospital and served as a Secretary of State in the Ministry of Health. Hrstić is a prominent member of the Croatian Democratic Union in Pula and previously ran as a candidate for the prefect of Istria in the 2021 local elections.
