Iris Gertig is a German politician and a member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). Born in 1971 in Berlin, she is a trained real estate economist who previously worked as a senior employee at the Förderkreis Junge Politik e. V. Gertig served as the chair of the CDU local association in Berlin-Nikolassee until 2024. After running in the 2021 and 2023 Berlin state elections, she assumed her seat in the Abgeordnetenhaus of Berlin on May 3, 2023, succeeding Oliver Friederici.
