István Vitányi

István Vitányi is a Hungarian jurist and politician who has served as a long-standing member of the National Assembly of Hungary. Born in 1952, he began his legal career in the 1980s and has served as a legal councilor to the Bihar Diocese of the Reformed Church since 1986. First elected to Parliament in 1998, he has represented the Berettyóújfalu constituency for multiple terms. As of 2026, he holds the distinction of being the oldest serving member of the National Assembly.
