István Weigand

István Weigand is a Hungarian politician who has served as a Member of the National Assembly since 2026, representing the Budapest 5th constituency. Before entering national politics, he spent twenty years working as a border guard and a police officer, eventually serving as a senior investigator. In 2021, he transitioned to the private sector as a self-employed carpenter. He was elected to parliament as a candidate for the Tisza Party during the 2026 Hungarian parliamentary election, securing a significant victory in his district.
