Izaah Knox

Izaah Knox is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Iowa Senate, representing the 17th District. Born in Iowa City, he grew up in Cedar Rapids and Seattle before earning degrees from Drake University. Prior to his legislative career, Knox worked as a life coach and served as the executive director of the nonprofit organization Urban Dreams in Des Moines. He was elected to the Iowa Senate in 2022, becoming the second Black senator in the state's history.
