János Lázár is a Hungarian politician currently serving as a Member of the National Assembly and as the Minister of Construction and Transport. A prominent figure in the Fidesz party, he previously held significant roles including Minister of the Prime Minister's Office from 2012 to 2018 and Mayor of Hódmezővásárhely. Throughout his career, Lázár has been a central, albeit controversial, figure in Hungarian politics, known for his strong stance on migration and his influence within the Orbán cabinets. He has also served as the President of the Hungarian Tennis Association since 2020.
