Józefa Szczurek-Żelazko is a Polish politician, nurse, and health manager currently serving as a member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. First elected to the Sejm in 2015, she has been re-elected in subsequent terms and previously served as Secretary of State in the Ministry of Health from 2017 to 2020. Before her national political career, she held various roles in health administration, including director of the health department in the Nowy Sącz County and director of a healthcare facility in Brzesko. She is a member of the Law and Justice party and has been recognized for her public service with the Gold Cross of Merit.
