Jackie Dunbar is a Scottish politician serving as the Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for Aberdeen Donside since May 2021. Born in Peterhead and educated in Elgin, she began her political career in local government, having been elected to the Aberdeen City Council in 2007 to represent the Northfield ward. During her tenure on the council, she held several senior positions before successfully transitioning to national politics. She represents the Scottish National Party and succeeded Mark McDonald in her current parliamentary seat.
