Jaime Andrade Jr.

Jaime Andrade Jr. is an American politician serving as a member of the Illinois House of Representatives for the 40th District since 2013. A long-time resident of Chicago's Irving Park neighborhood, he previously worked as a legislative assistant and assistant sergeant-at-arms for the Chicago City Council. In the legislature, Andrade has focused on technology policy, environmental protection, and fiscal health, notably authoring legislation to regulate artificial intelligence in hiring and banning harmful plastic microbeads. He currently serves as an Assistant House Majority Leader and maintains a strong focus on community safety, affordable child care, and small business relief.
