Jaime Araya Guerrero

Jaime Araya Guerrero is a Chilean lawyer and politician currently serving as a Member of the Chamber of Deputies of Chile, representing the 3rd District of the Antofagasta Region since 2022. Although officially independent, he leads the parliamentary caucus of the Party for Democracy (PPD). Before his election to Congress, he served as a municipal councillor in Antofagasta and briefly as acting mayor in 2012. His legislative work focuses on environmental protection, citizen security, and institutional reform, with a notable emphasis on combating transnational organized crime in northern Chile.
