A member of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP), he previously worked as a legal trainee, served as the head of the coordination office for the State of Tyrol in Vienna, and acted as an advisor in the office of the Tyrolean Governor. In addition to his political career, he founded his own law firm in Innsbruck in 2023. Grüner holds multiple degrees in law and digital business from the University of Innsbruck and the Management Center Innsbruck.
