Jakob Schwarz is an Austrian politician and member of the National Council, representing the Green Party. Born in Graz and raised in Sinabelkirchen, he holds a doctorate in physics and previously worked as an atmospheric physicist at the Wegener Center and as a strategy consultant for McKinsey & Company. Schwarz has been active in student politics and the European Young Greens. Since his election to the National Council in 2019, he has focused on climate protection, advocating for the implementation of the Paris Agreement and an eco-social tax reform.
