Jakov Milatović

Jakov Milatović is a Montenegrin politician and economist who has served as the President of Montenegro since May 2023. Previously, he served as the Minister of Economic Development from 2020 to 2022, where he co-implemented the 'Europe Now!' economic reform program. A former deputy leader of the Europe Now! party, he is a centrist figure who advocates for Montenegro's accession to the European Union, the fight against corruption, and the improvement of living standards. He holds an MPhil in economics from the University of Oxford and has an extensive background as an economist with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
