James Martin

James Robert Martin is an Australian politician currently serving as the Labor member for Stretton in the Queensland Legislative Assembly. He was first elected in the 2021 Stretton state by-election, succeeding the late Duncan Pegg. Prior to his election to the Legislative Assembly, Martin worked as an electorate officer for Pegg from 2015 until 2021 and unsuccessfully contested the Calamvale Ward for the Brisbane City Council in 2020. He holds a bachelor's degree from Griffith University and a master's degree from the University of Queensland.
