Jan Bureš is a Czech politician and member of the Civic Democratic Party (ODS). He currently serves as a member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, having been re-elected in 2025, and holds the position of vice-chair of the parliamentary committee for the environment. Throughout his career, he has served as the mayor of Ostrov and as a representative and deputy governor of the Karlovy Vary Region. In March 2026, he was appointed as the shadow minister of the environment in the ODS shadow cabinet.
