Janet Parra Mercado is a Puerto Rican politician and lawyer who served as the acting Secretary of Justice of Puerto Rico from January 2 to May 8, 2025. Appointed by Governor Jenniffer González-Colón, her nomination was later withdrawn after it became clear she lacked the necessary votes for confirmation in the Senate of Puerto Rico. Prior to her cabinet nomination, she worked as a prosecutor, head of the organized crime division of the Puerto Rico Department of Justice, and as a private practice lawyer.
