Carlos Javier Lamarque Cano is a Mexican sociologist and politician currently serving as the Municipal President of Cajeme, Sonora. A long-time figure in the Mexican left, he was a founding member of the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD) before joining the National Regeneration Movement (Morena) in 2013. Throughout his career, he has served as a federal deputy for Sonora's 6th district and has held the office of municipal president of Cajeme on three separate occasions, first elected in 1997.
