Affiliated with the National Regeneration Movement (Morena), he has held several high-level positions, including Secretary of Welfare from 2020 to 2022 and General Director of the National Tourism Development Fund (Fonatur) from 2022 to 2023. Throughout his career, he has also served as a Senator for Tabasco, a member of the state congress, and mayor of Comalcalco for two terms.
