Jean-Philippe Tanguy

Jean-Philippe Tanguy is a French politician serving as a Member of the National Assembly for the Somme's 4th constituency since 2022. A graduate of ESSEC and Sciences Po, he began his career as a parliamentary assistant to Nicolas Dupont-Aignan before joining the National Rally in 2020. Within the party, he has served as a regional councillor in Hauts-de-France and as a deputy chairman of the National Rally group in the National Assembly. Known for his focus on economic issues and his bonapartist political leanings, Tanguy has been a prominent figure in the party's parliamentary activities, including his role as president of a parliamentary inquiry commission. He is openly gay and has expressed support for various social liberal positions, such as the constitutionalization of abortion and the legalization of assisted dying.
