Jeong Jeom-sik is a South Korean politician and former prosecutor currently serving as a three-term member of the National Assembly for the Tongyeong-si and Goseong-gun constituency. After passing the 30th Judicial Examination in 1988, he had a distinguished legal career, serving in various high-ranking positions within the prosecution service, including as the head of the Public Security Department at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office. He entered politics in 2019 through a by-election and has since held significant leadership roles within the People Power Party, including Policy Committee Chair and Secretary-General. Throughout his legislative career, he has been deeply involved in legal and judicial oversight, serving on committees such as the Legislation and Judiciary Committee and the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts.
