Jim O'Day

Jim O'Day is an American politician and social worker serving as a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, in 1954, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in urban studies and management from Worcester State University in 1983. Before entering politics, O'Day spent 24 years working as a social worker for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Social Services. He was first elected to the state legislature in a 2007 special election to represent the 14th Worcester district and has continued to serve in that capacity, where he is also a member of the Steering, Policy, and Scheduling Committee.
